Obama’s loss ... by the Russian chemical strike

Obama’s loss ... by the Russian chemical strike
The Czar of Russia Vladimir Putin succeeded once again in making a miracle. He stopped the fire one moment before reaching to the barrel of gunpowder. He confirmed to the world that the new Russia is the one taking a judicial decision in the world’s crises. It is the one that contributed to implicate Barack Obama in the logic of war and the American president is thus currently resorting to it so as to save him from the dilemma.

Russia has proposed an international control over the Syrian chemical weapon, if this will stop the war, according to Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Damascus quickly accepted this solution. The two countries have agreed days ago on this solution, but they probably postponed announcing it to increase Obama’s embarrassment globally, especially after it became clear that his most sincere European ally i.e. Britain has left him in the lurch and that the Arab and supreme public opinion is against him. No one remained by his side but only France timidly, the League of Arab States, the Organization of the Islamic Conference, and Israel. Perhaps even Israel retreated when the anxiety levels rose because of the Iranian and Syrian weapons and those of Hezbollah. It understood that what the three parties might be hiding is much more serious than it expected.

The Russian proposal did not come from nothing. It was preceded by extensive consultations and many proposals. The proposals that came first to Iran and Moscow were turned down because they were including several files that include the nuclear program, Iraq, Syria, Hezbollah, the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, and the future of President Bashar al-Assad. Then, the Iraqi initiative came, which was not far from than Iran and Moscow, and was preceded by a visit made by the Sultan of Oman to Tehran, as well as high rank European visits, and was punctuated by the visit of the international envoy, who is an American citizen and an Israeli fan, Jeffrey Feltman to Tehran, what made the Iranian capital turn into a forum receiving all those who are seeking for a political solution.

Confirmed information say that the Russian proposal was submitted by the coordinating Commission to Mikhail Bogdanov, Deputy Russian Foreign Minister, and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Iraq and Egypt were informed about this. The Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy might meet tomorrow in Cairo a delegation from the Commission, headed overseas by Dr. Haytham Manna’ to elaborate this idea.

According to reliable information, the issue of the chemical weapon is basically not valuable, for what is available out of the chemical weapon in Syria is not originally important since it is not a deadly weapon as claimed by the Americans. It is a material dating back to the eighties of the last century, and thus abandoning it is easy if this keeps the specter of war away; the war that was almost turning out to be a real disaster facing the region as a whole, according to what has been said repeatedly by the Russians, Iranians, the Syrians, the Chinese and by others.

The information also says that Syria would not have accepted this Russian proposal and approved it in advance, if it did not along with its allies acquire a military and political price, its details would be clarified later.

If you have noticed, yesterday the Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem was bringing this price up by stressing that Damascus is going to Geneva II without preconditions.
In fact, in order not to embarrass Obama and not to make him look like a loser, the Foreign Minister John Kerry was allowed to say two hours before Lavrov that President Assad can avoid a strike if he handed out the chemical weapons.

It is hard to think that all this was not coordinated with the Russians, and this means therefore that the United States has resorted eventually to Moscow and Tehran to find a political solution to save Obama from his dilemma, where there is a solution acceptable to everyone, especially since the American- Israeli axis with some regional and Arab countries understood that the price of a military confrontation would be too high, and perhaps much more than some would have expected.

But does this mean that America will abandon the option of the aggression quickly, this is not concluded yet. In such cases, the offers and counter-offers usually take time.
The question that remains in such a case, did the Russians deliberately leave Obama plunge into this dilemma, as they said in the beginning they would not intervene and then they started to reject the war and said later that Kerry is lying and threatened that the war is prohibited! Did they want actually to make Obama’s image in the world and in America look bad and to keep him almost without allies even inside Europe, excluding France!

Perhaps, but certainly, Obama invented the story of the chemical weapon to launch an aggression against the beating heart of Arabism. However, he received a chemical blow by the Russians that hit the heart of the unjust aggression by a crisis that is difficult to get out of it quickly.

It was planned to cripple the capabilities of the Syrian army, to cut off all communications and transportation, to hit Damascus, Homs and Latakia, to destroy many infrastructure, to contribute to weakening the regime in the face of the insurgents, and to open gaps for the breakthroughs of the insurgency. It was also assumed that a military band (not necessarily an American one) would carry out a ground commando operation to control sites it believes to be full of chemical materials, or would kidnap or assassinate officials in the regime. It was also planned to kill some officials. However, it turns out in the past few days that the other axis from Iran to Syria and Hezbollah was preparing for a wide war and that Russia was to support militarily, financially and humanly, and perhaps what emerged from their threats is only a small part of what they were hiding. That’s exactly what restrained the Americans and their allies and what worried Israel. Hence, Obama is looking for a political solution, and it is said that some part of this solution has been already cooked in the 20th summit in St. Petersburg, despite all the rumors about a pessimistic atmosphere.

What is taking place under the tables is completely different than what is said above them.
