Yemeni Forces Saudi Warship off Taiz Coast
Islam Times - Yemeni army and Popular Committees have destroyed a Saudi Royal Navy warship in waters off the southwestern province of Taiz.
Local military source reported that the warship was in the Yemeni territorial water, near the port city of Mukha in Taiz, when was targeted by the allied forces confronting the Saudi-led aggression on Yemen.
The source said that the warship was targeted with a qualitative and advanced weapon, noting that further details about this weapon will be announced later.
For his part, Head of Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohammad Ali al-Houthi announced the Tuesday attack on his Facebook account, praising maritime forces of the army and the committees as the defenders of the Yemeni people.
Military sources told Arabic-language al-Masirah television network that the warship was targeted with a sophisticated guided-missile in waters near the port city of Mukha, situated 346 kilometers south of the capital Sana'a.
Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement fighters and their allies in Yemen’s army have been launching retaliatory attacks against Saudi-led forces on land, sea and air both inside Saudi Arabia and in Yemen.
The Saudi regime launched an illegal aggression on Yemen in March 2015 in an attempt to force back the country's former government to power. The brutal aggression has so far claimed the lives of nearly 13,000 Yemenis mostly civilians including women and children.
The Saudi military aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure, destroying many hospitals, schools, mosques and factories.
