Saudi Arabia, US Back ISIS Terrorist Group: Iranian Cmdr.
Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri

Islam Times - A senior Iranian commander says the US and Saudi Arabia are directing, guiding and supporting acts of terror by ISIS terrorist group.

"Today, we are witnessing the destructive outcomes of state-sponsored terrorism backed by Saudi Arabia, the United States and some (other) reactionary regional countries in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen and elsewhere, including in some European countries,” Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri said on Tuesday.

He added that ISIS Takfiri terrorists conduct their terrorist moves against regional countries with the support of Riyadh and Washington.

Jazayeri who is also Iran's chief Armed Forces spokesman further referred to the recent terror attacks in Tehran, noting that the ISIS Takfiri terrorist group was behind them.

Brigadier General Jazayeri went on to underline that the recent terrorist attacks and other hostile moves by the enemies cannot undermine the Iranian nation’s resolve to continue on the path of upholding the truth and fighting terrorism.

Terrorists launched simultaneous attacks on Iran’s parliament building in central Tehran and on the mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini, south of the city, last week.

The ISIS terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attacks, which killed 17 people and wounded more than 40.

Meanwhile, a senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Saturday that the readiness of Iran's security forces at the Parliament and Imam Khomeini’s Mausoleum foiled ISIS terror attacks in the Iranian capital.

Ali Asghar Gorjizadeh, the commander of IRGC’s Ansar-ol-Mahdi Corps, which is responsible for protection of senior Iranian officials, added that from the very first moments after the twin terrorist attacks, members of the Ansar-ol-Mahdi Corps took measures to encounter the terrorists.
